What you need to know

Our client, in the manufacturing industry are looking for a Senior Process Technician to join their team based in Co. Offaly.

The Senior Process Technician will be responsible for machine set-up, ongoing maintenance, and operation of our production line, and will report to the Plant Production Manager.

This is a permanent position, working alternating day shift patterns with weekend roster and night cover required occasionally on request.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the injection moulding production line.

  • Conduct mould and machine cleaning, as well as maintenance of robots and ancillary equipment.

  • Optimise processes and implement continuous improvement programs.

  • Produce finished goods that meet SOP and customer requirements, following quality specifications and order instructions.

  • Perform quality checks, collect data, and complete documentation required for quality and regulatory compliance.

  • Handle raw materials and finished goods.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Execute other production-related tasks as assigned.

     

What are we looking for?

  • Technical qualification in Manufacturing or Mechanical/Automation Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience with a strong understanding of machine settings, controls, and electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Injection moulding experience.

  • Familiarity with machine operations and a collaborative team production approach.

  • Organised & experienced with line clearance and Health & Safety Protocols

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
