Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for Process Technicians for our client based in County Longford who specialises in manufacturing packaging and components for the polymer/plastics industry. Our client is a leading supplier for the medical device industry and is currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation. With new opportunities on the horizon and significant advancement in projects and capabilities they are now looking to expand their team.

The Process Technician main responsibility is for the efficient set up and operation of polymer processing lines in the fields of Injection Moulding.

This is a permanent role on a 4-cycle shift – day and night shifts.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the injection moulding machines, and associated equipment are set up, operated, and maintained efficiently to produce high-quality parts while maintaining process control records.

  • Have a strong technical aptitude of processing characteristics and parameters for a broad range of polymer materials.

  • Assist in the development to support validation activities and resolving technical issues.

  • Liaise with Production Manager, Technical Manager, Shift Manger, Team Leaders, Quality and Toolroom personnel.

  • Maintain the company's reputation and product quality by following all required safety and quality regulations.

What are we looking for?

  • Completed a Polymer Technology Apprenticeship qualification or equivalent qualification is essential.

  • Experience as a Moulding/Process Technician – essential. 

  • Understanding of running Design of Experiments (DOE) 

  • Technical experience in moulding processes. 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
