We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to for our client, a global, health insurance provider, based in Waterford.
This role involves designing, building, and delivering innovative, scalable, and efficient technology or service solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various business functions, driving product vision from inception to delivery.
This role offer a hybrid working model.
What you will be doing:
- Partner with project sponsors and business leaders to understand and prioritise business objectives and measures for product or service development.
- Define and communicate the product/service roadmap and vision, focusing on features and capabilities.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement to align understanding, prioritisation, and trade-offs to achieve business outcomes.
- Collaborate with user experience, marketing, business/IT partners, and other teams to ensure successful product releases and adoption.
- Conduct activities such as documentation, training, and knowledgebase creation to support product launches.
- Perform market research, including user interviews, surveys, data analysis, SWOT analysis, and competitor analysis.
- Define the scope or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for assigned areas.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and workshops, applying design thinking methodologies.
- Balance scope, complexity, risk, and costs effectively.
- Work with technical support teams to assess and resolve production issues and provide engineering support as required.
- Manage ambiguity and rapidly learn new topic areas to handle project assignments independently.
- Contribute as a team player with a strong desire for continuous improvement and success.
- Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in a Product Owner role within IT.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in business management or a technical field (preferred).
- Strong experience in agile development practices, with proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence for creating user stories and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce concise, clear, and engaging material.
- Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to manage medium-complexity challenges.
- Proven ability to conduct user interviews and consolidate findings.
- Experience in life insurance, workflow management, and policy life cycle capabilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data management and data exchanges is advantageous.
- Solid persuasion and negotiation skills to align stakeholders with common goals.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
