What you need to know

My client in the Healthcare sector is looking to recruit a Patient Services Manager for their facility in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin

This role is 35 hours per week Mon-Fri 8am – 4pm

This is a contract job.

 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Oversee & manage Patient Services units/depts i.e. Medical Assessment Unit, Outpatient’s & Reception

  • Ability to manage within allocated resources and a capacity to respond to changes in a plan

  • Support the administration of the Service as required via attending meetings and supporting Senior Managers.

  • Providing reports & analysis of your units

  • Staff rostering/rotas, approval of Annual leave, timesheets

  • Audit of healthcare records

  • Administration in a busy Front of House Service in an Acute Level 2 Hospital.

  • Provide staff cover for leave planned/unplanned

  • Liaise with heads of departments ensuring processes/procedures are followed.

What are we looking for?

  • 4-5 years management experience in a similar healthcare/hospital setting preferable

  • Operations management in the hospitality sector with similar duties will be considered.

  • HSE Garda Vetted

  • Experience of managing and prioritising high-volume workloads to meet deadlines

  • Scheduled Care Experience would be an asset

  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of PAS (our Patient Administration System or any Patient Administration System) would be beneficial, also Symphony or NIMIS

  • Knowledge of the Irish healthcare system and experience working in a healthcare setting

  • Experience working as a line lead/manager with direct reports – essential

  • Experience of managing and prioritising high volume workloads to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to manage within allocated resources

  • Flexibility, problem solving and initiative skills including the ability to implement change

  • Fluent spoken & written English with excellent communication skills.
