Our client is an industry-leading manufacturing facility based in Longford. They specialise in high-quality products for the UK and Irish retail and food service markets, operating a highly automated, world-class manufacturing site. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a Supply Chain Materials Planner to join their team.

Your new job

As part of the Planning Team, you will be responsible for sourcing and ordering raw materials and packaging based on MRP requirements. You will ensure material availability, maintain supplier relationships, manage inventory reporting, and support supply chain operations, reporting to the Customer Service and Planning Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Source and order raw materials and packaging weekly based on MRP requirements.

• Monitor availability of raw materials and packaging against production plans.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring accurate records of purchasing conditions, lead times, and order requirements.

• Maintain data accuracy within MRP systems and support planning adjustments as needed.

• Conduct inventory level reporting and support materials at risk/obsolescence processes.

• Participate in daily Planning & Logistics team meetings to align supply chain operations.

• Undertake 36-hour availability checks for the Warehouse Team as required.

• Manage supplier delivery bookings and ensure timely material availability for production.

What are we looking for?

• 4 years’ experience in material planning in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with SAP ERP is an advantage but not essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is essential
