What you need to know

My client in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire an IT Administrator to join their expanding team. This role is located in Co. Longford

As the IT Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation, security, maintenance and development of the IT infrastructure, systems & processes. You will create work plans and processes and participate in project work.

This is a permanent job with company benefits.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Ensure IT policies/procedures are adhered to.

  • Oversee network equipment, services, infrastructure i.e. firewalls, routers & servers

  • Maintain security measures i.e. antivirus protection, remote access systems & internet usage policies.

  • Drive the development of SOP’s for staff training purposes

  • Liaise with end users for identification of system requirements, reporting and areas for process improvements

  • Support the development of maintenance of networks

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and inhouse management and IT teams

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues.

  • Be responsible for automating tasks & integrating systems

 

What are we looking for?

  •  MUST HAVE A MIN OF 5 years experience as an IT Administrator or similar role.

  • 3rd Level Qualification in IT or related discipline OR vocational training as an IT Specialist with at least 1 years work experience along with this

  • Knowledge of operating systems i.e. Windows Servers, Hardware, Network Technologies, Diagnostics, Cloud Services, Recovery, Security, ITSM & automation.

  • Resilient, patient, motivated & persistent – essential

  • Ability to prioritise and multitask

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
