What you need to know

We are looking to recruit a Lab Administrator (Data Entry) for our client in the Healthcare Sector in Naas, Co. Kildare

This job is a rolling month to month contract position.

YOU MUST HAVE DATA ENTRY EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE IN NUMERICAL FILING.

Your New Job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Data entry

Filing in numerical order

  • Cross-check patient details

  • Add and give out specimen results to patients and log on files on the laboratory computer system.

  • Deal with general phone enquires.

  • Give specimen results over the phone to internal and external clinics, GP surgeries, and nursing homes after completing GDPR checks.

  • Sort the internal and external post for the laboratory and post specimen results.

  • Complete recheck of results from external laboratories and send them to the correct clinician.

  • Compiling and sending statistics reports to hospital management.

  • Filing and archiving patient charts and other documents in compliance with HSE Healthcare record management and GDPR guidelines.

  • Train and mentor new members of staff on SOP's and using the Laboratory computer system

  • Train scientists on clerical admin processes and computer system use for out-of-hours duty.

  • Provide annual leave and emergency cover for Cardiology Dept clerical office and Medical Records.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Previous HSE experience – preferable

  • Current/valid HSE Garda Vetting

  • MUST HAVE DATA ENTRY EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL

  • MUST HAVE NUMERICAL FILING EXPERIENCE – ESSENTAIL

  • Strong IT/computer skills and strong knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Multitasking and strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative.
