Our client who are a long-standing manufacturer in County Westmeath are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their team.

This is a 6-month contract role with an option to extend.

This is a Monday – Friday role (8am – 4:30pm)

The warehouse operative is responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of warehouse operations, including storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods accurately and on time.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Organising and Storing: Arrange and maintain product pallets in designated areas, ensuring safe and secure storage.

• Preparing and Dispatching: Wrap, strap, and label pallets correctly for dispatch, loading trucks with the right shipments for timely delivery.

• Operating Machinery: Safely use warehouse equipment, including forklifts, wrapping, and strapping tools.

• Maintaining Warehouse Safety: Keep the workspace clean and free from hazards while following safety protocols and using protective gear.

• Handling Finished Products: Prepare plastic products for shipment, ensuring proper labelling and storage.

What are we looking for?

• Experience of working in an industrial manufacturing environment desirable.

• Proven experience operating a forklift is essential, with a valid forklift license being desirable.

• Mechanically minded with good attention to detail and the ability to multi -task.

• Reliability and punctuality are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments as a supportive team player.
