My client, in the Healthcare sector, based in Naas, Co. Kildare is looking to recruit a HIPE Clinical Coder their department.

You will assist the clinical coding function of the hospital. You will assign diagnostic and operative codes for diagnoses & procedures using the coding system.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Using the HIPE portal input coded information

• Run reports

• Perform corrections to data

• Responsible for data quality

• Ensure technical accuracy in coding

• Following downloading procedures

• Participate in regular meetings

• Liaise with Senior Clinical Coders, HPO & other healthcare bodies

What are we looking for?

• MUST HAVE HIPE Clinical Coder Training qualification/Level 6 certification

• Previous HSE experience preferable – Garda Vetted.

• Excellent PC/IT computer experience – MS Office & IT related packages.

• Must be meticulous with strong attention to detail

• Excellent organisational & analytical skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Must be a team player

• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment

• Must be fluent in written & oral English
