Matrix Recruitment is partnering with a leading company to source for a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer position. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and growing organisation. The role will be based at their site in North Dublin.
Your new job
Reporting to the Group Head of HSE, you will be an integral member in overseeing and administering Health Safety and Environmental duties on their North Dublin site.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, and managing health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across the site
Acting as the Responsible Person for all HSE matters, identifying and responding to current legal and best practice requirements.
Involved in the reform safety audits and conducting safety training sessions.
Reduce and prevent accidents/ incidents across the company.
Initiating and overseeing a HSE leadership change programme across the organisation
Setting the strategic direction for effective HSE management and appropriate workplace wellbeing programmes for employees (including mental health first aid)
Ensuring risk assessment and incident management systems are in place and adhered to. Review and develop risk assessments for Chemical assessments, Manual Handling, Noise, DSE, Abrasive Wheels, Work at Height, Confined Spaces and other Statutory requirements
Liaising and collaboration with HR and Line managers.
Implementing, coaching and maintenance of HSE management systems to the ISO 14001 & ISO45001 standards.
Always focussing on the correct use of PPE equipment among employees on-site.
What are we loking for?
3rd level qualification in EHS or similar discipline
NEBOSH certified in Health and Safety and Environmental
IOSH Certified
1-3 years post-graduation experience in a Construction/ heavy manufacturing environment
Willing to get uphold HSE policies and continuously focussing on improving reducing accidents/incidents and developing policies associated with Health, Safety and Environmental on-site.
