Matrix Recruitment is working with a leading specialist company in architectural construction, in the recruitment of a GroupHead of Health, Safety and Environment. Our client has a state-of-the-art production facilities and offices across the UK and Ireland, delivering high-profile projects from concept to completion.

We are seeking an experienced Group Head of Health, Safety and Environment to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across for our client.This role will drive compliance, implement best practices, and develop a culture of safety across multiple sites, including manufacturing plants, construction projects, and office environments.

This is an excellent permanent job opportunity to be part of company who is known for their expertise, innovation, craftsmanship, and technical excellence in bringingarchitectural visions to life. This role is primarily based in North Dublin, with travel to the UK required at least twice a month.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage HSE policies and procedure.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and ISO 45001 standards.

  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

  • Deliver safety training and mentor teams to enhance HSE awareness.

  • Lead initiatives to reduce accidents and improve workplace wellbeing.

  • Act as the primary HSE contact, providing expert guidance to leadership.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years' experience in a senior Health, Safety and Environmental role with culture change experience.

  • MSc, or BScin Environmental, Health and Safety Management, or Engineering.

  • NEBOSH Certificate (General or Construction) & IOSH Managing Safely.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of HSE legislation, risk management, and audits.

  • Experience in training, coaching, and implementing wellbeing initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
