Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation in the food sector.

This is a key leadership role within the business supporting both strategic and operational HR activities. Join a dynamic and collaborative team with a growing company. 

This is a permanent role based in Wexford and it offers a 3-4 day work week. 

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business needs and support organisational growth

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle including workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, and retention

  • Lead the performance management cycle including mid-year reviews, appraisals, and personal development plans

  • Lead internal development programmes and succession planning initiatives

  • Manage employee relations, conduct, grievance handling and compliance

  • Actively promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and a positive workplace culture

  • Maintain and update all HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook in line with Irish employment legislation

  • Manage the payroll and compensation process

  • Ensure compliance in areas including GDPR, contracts, payroll inputs, and operational HR documentation

  • Use HR systems and workforce data to produce insights and reports for senior management

  • Keep updated on all employment legislation changes


What are we looking for?

  • CIPD qualified with a degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

  • 5+ years’ HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Excellent understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practice

  • Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on HR delivery

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – confident advising stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience with talent management, succession planning and organisational development

  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
