What you Need to know.
Matrix Recruitment is delighted to be working with a national charity supporting family carers across the country. They are currently seeking a Support Manager to join their dedicated team in Dublin. This pivotal role will report to the Regional Support Manager: Intensive, and will work closely with family carers, helping them access essential services and supports.
Your New Job
As a Support Manager: Intensive (SMI), you will use a strengths-based case management approach to conduct wellbeing reviews with family carers, identifying their needs through the Carers Outcome Star™ tool. Collaborating with family carers, you will create action plans to enhance seven key areas of wellbeing and connect them with appropriate external agencies and internal resources, such as education programs, respite, and counselling. Additionally, you will specialize in supporting family carers in areas such as older persons, disability, children with additional needs, or families of individuals with mental health challenges.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct holistic wellbeing assessments using the Carers Outcome Star tool.

  • Create tailored, person-centred action plans to enhance carers’ wellbeing.

  • Collaborate with Support Manager: Community (SMC) to deliver seamless support services.

  • Provide information on services, resources, and programmes available to carers.

  • Specialise in one key area (older persons, disability, children with additional needs, or mental health challenges) to provide focused support.

  • Deliver training and education programs to family carers.

  • Meet individual and network targets, reporting to the Regional Support Manager: Intensive.

What we are looking for.

  • QQI Level 7 (or higher) in Social Care, Community Development, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Case management experience with families or carers.

  • Knowledge of sustainable caring routines and resources.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a reflective approach to work.

  • Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Full driving licence and access to a car.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
