Our client a manufacturing company based in Co. Cavan are currently seeking a Quality Environmental Health & Safety Officer to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in driving quality, environmental, health, and safety excellence.

This is a permanent position.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide QEHS support to ensure operations comply with certifiable standards, company policies, legal requirements, and customer expectations.

  • Promote and implement best practices and strategies on-site, fostering a proactive and improvement-focused culture.

  • Ensure products meet brand specifications, customer requirements, and health and safety standards.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while supporting audit preparations and maintaining site accreditations.

  • Organize and participate in regular safety and quality team meetings to enhance collaboration and awareness.

  • Collaborate with production and development teams to uphold quality and QEHS objectives, conducting tests and compiling customer reports.

  • Define and refine quality procedures in conjunction with operational staff to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Monitor performance through data analysis, producing reports to drive improvements in quality and safety.

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and management to support quality assurance and compliance efforts.

  • Identify training needs related to quality, health, and safety, and deliver training to build team capabilities.

What are we looking for?

  • A degree-level qualification in Health & Safety and Environmental studies is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with Quality, EHS, and ISO systems is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and balance competing priorities.

  • A proactive and resourceful approach, with a passion for fostering a positive QEHS culture on-site.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
