Our client, one of Ireland’s leading medical device distributors based in Co. Galway are currently seeking a Production Manager to join their organisation.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager this position will be pivotal in management and efficiency of the sites production department.

Your new job

Key duties and responsibilities:

•  Comply with all Health & safety, Housekeeping and cGMP requirements.

• To maintain an in-depth knowledge of the business and products, the customers, suppliers and the market dynamics.

• Manage the production schedule to ensure adequate labour resourcing and material forecasting.

• Prepare and propose plans both long and short term for your area of responsibility in line with the company’s defined strategy and agreed financial targets. E.G.  Resource Plans, Training Plans, Production Plans.  

• Management of the Production, provide leadership and mentoring.

• Ensure the production team are effectively trained and the associated training is documented.

• Stock control of finished product, raw materials and consumables to include stock takes, ordering and trending.

• Participate with new product development, introduction and control.

• Promote Safety, Good Housekeeping and Good Saves.

What are we looking for?

• Relevant supervisory & management qualifications and/or experience

• Experience in GMP, GDP and ISO environments

• Experience in lead and/or managerial roles

• Track record in people management

• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and /or ISO13485 QMS.

• Proactive attitude

• Adaptable to changing environments

• Proven problem-solving skills
