Our client are seeking an experienced Mill Manager to join and lead their on-site team based in County Waterford. They are a leading manufacturer serving the Irish market with Cement and GGBS. Their modern quayside manufacturing plant is located in the deep-water of Belview Port ensuring an uninterrupted supply of quality bulk products to customers throughout Ireland.
This is a permanent position reporting to the General Manager.

Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Nightly/Morning check in with production staff to ensure execution of plan
- Manage raw material stocks and ensure sufficient for production plan
- Co-ordinate with shipping department in relation to discharge, storage and transport.
- Perform daily surveillance of operations by conducting plant inspections and discussing maintenance requirements with maintenance contractors and team.
- Oversee all aspects of the maintenance department.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Develop and execute major shutdown schedules.
- Fault find and manage fixes for plant breakdowns
- Coordinate and supervise the work of external contractors on repairs.
- Management of spare parts log and ordering of spare parts.
- Schedule all servicing and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant
- Ensure silos and dispatch equipment are maintained and operating efficiently
- Schedule all production staff for daily/weekly production.
- Sign off on staff hours weekly
- Management of the plant in relation to calibration of equipment and quality of products produced.
- Manage plant safety and permit to work system
- Manage compete health and safety of the site, including leading and promoting a positive culture.
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
