Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of production equipment to
- Conduct repairs on mechanical,instrumentation, and pneumatic systems as needed.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production processes.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any recurring issues.
- Assist with light engineering tasks, including fabrications, adjustments, and modifications to equipment.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and report low stock levels.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and equipment reliability including operator instruction and training.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a maintenance or light engineering role, preferably within the food industry or similar.
- Knowledge of packaging equipment would be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
- A qualification such as MAMF qualified mechanical fitter would be beneficial.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, or light engineering.
- Understanding of PLCs and automation systems is an advantage.
