What you need to know

Our client, a global precision engineering company, based on Co. Cavan, are seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday.

The Maintenance and Facilities Engineer will report to the Operations Manager.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish specifications for facilities and equipment.

  • Designing and managing the implementation of facility expansions, layouts, systems, and quality control measures.

  • Assessing operational systems and facility infrastructure.

  • Planning and coordinating schedules for infrastructure and equipment maintenance.

  • Liaise with contractors.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime.

  • Work with the Operations Manager and Maintenance team to ensure proper equipment support.

  • Oversee the upkeep of K1, K2, and K4 buildings and their services.

  • Ensure the proper collection, storage, and disposal of site waste.

  • Review and improve our carbon footprint with energy audits and proposing efficiency projects.

  • Ensure the company retains and acquires ISO and other certifications.

What are we looking for?

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as facilities engineer or in a similar role in Maintenance Management.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office.

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Competence in project management.
