Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a EHS Advisor for our client, based in the Carlow area.

Reporting to the MD, you will lead and promote a positive EHS Culture across the site, drive a safe working environment and assist Managers to ensure safe completion of tasks & activities.

This is a permanent role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Devise and implement safety plans.

• Liaise with contractors to ensure Safe System of Works.

• Attend site project meetings to discuss EHS issues and plans.

• Ensure all EHS documentation is in place and valid.

• Issue safety reports detailing accident, incidents, and safety issues.

• Review, update, and publish HSA Controlled Documentation.

• Conduct and participate in the auditing process to assure compliance.

• Proactively work with operational teams to ensure that EHS is considered at all stages & control measures are identified.

• Monitoring and Measuring EHS objectives.

• Compliance Assurance in line with client, legislation, and best practices.

What are we looking for?

• Level 7 or higher qualification in Health and Safety.

• 3 years’ experience in an EHS role.

• Experience working in the manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge of the manufacturing/construction sector.

• Proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office- (Excel, PowerPoint), and a general competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps etc)
