What you need to know
Our client, a leading furniture manufacturer are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join their team based in Co. Roscommon. They are currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation. With new opportunities on the horizon and significant advancement in projects and capabilities they are now looking to expand their team.
The Machine Operator plays a vital role in operating and maintaining manufacturing or production machinery. The position involves ensuring equipment runs efficiently, inspecting products for quality assurance, and strictly following safety protocols.
This is a permanent position, working Monday – Friday.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up, adjust, and operate machinery in accordance with production specifications to ensure optimal output.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and address any defects.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
Record and report production data, including any deviations or issues encountered during operations.
Escalate significant repairs or breakdowns to maintenance teams or supervisors as required.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment, while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
What are we looking for?
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and a keen focus on maintaining product quality standards.
Proven expertise in the maintenance and optimisation of equipment performance.
Strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
