What you need to know

Our Westmeath based client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The client is a well-established cost and project management service provider for Ireland and the UK.

This position is in integral in overseeing junior quantity surveyors and overall project management. Providing clients with best service possible.

Please note that this position is a permanent position on a daytime, Monday to Friday basis.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents

  • Monitor project costs and manage cash flow, ensuring projects are completed within budget

  • Advise on contractual matters, including procurement, risk management, and change control

  • Review and analyse project performance, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards

  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance and development opportunities

  • Manage client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and reporting

 

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying/ related discipline (RICS accredited)

  • QS experience in a consultancy service/project management focused company

  • Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, and commercial management

  • Proven experience with a range of sectors including bringing projects to a successfulconclusion

  • Client focussed, ability to service clients’ expectations to its fullest and maintain confidentiality

  • Strong team player with ability to work cross functionally on complex projects

  • Knowledgeable and proficient on software such as cubit and excel
