Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Safeguarding Risk and Compliance Manager our client based in Co Kildare
Permanent Contract
Matrix Recruitment is excited to announce an opening for a Safeguarding, Risk, and Compliance Manager with our client based in Kildare. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Executive Management Team, ensuring the highest quality standards and contributing strategically to our client’s vision and direction, all aligned with their core values. The post holder will manage strategic projects assigned by the Senior Management Team.
Key duties & responsibilities:
Oversee our client’s Quality Management Systems and lead compliance functions in accordance with regulatory requirements, legislation, and internal quality improvement initiatives.
Work closely with Senior and Operational Management teams to support operational activities effectively.
Lead and review processes for auditing, safeguarding, HIQA compliance, quality improvement, and risk management.
Ensure all Community Members with Support Needs are protected from abuse and support all safeguarding-related matters.
Monitor and report on safeguarding referral trends and outcomes.
Coordinate and advise on reviews of critical incidents and safeguard against risks.
Provide leadership on implementing our client’s governance structure for quality, risk, and safety.
Monitor key performance indicators for risk management.
Develop and implement our client’s Quality Management Framework, considering legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Plan and conduct audits, setting and reviewing action plans for improvement.
Ensure ongoing compliance and manage data from HIQA standards and inspections.
Raise concerns about non-compliance and risk issues to the Senior Management team.
Provide leadership and support to employees.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and deliver training as needed.
Maintain accurate electronic filing systems.
Ensure compliance with our clients Health & Safety policies and participate in quality, risk, and safety initiatives.

Relevant voluntary, statutory, and private agencies including local HSE personnel and HIQA inspectors

Strict confidentiality is required regarding all business, staff, and service users.
What we are looking for:
Qualifications:
Minimum Level 7 Degree on the QQI Framework in Social Care Studies, Social Care Work, Health, ID Nursing, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
A postgraduate qualification in Quality Management is advantageous.
Competencies and skills appropriate to working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Demonstrated knowledge, ability, and professional and managerial competence for the role.
Flexibility The job description is not exhaustive, and the role may evolve with the needs of our client
Candidates must possess good character and maintain this status throughout their employment.
Candidates must be fully capable of performing the duties associated with the position and be in a state of health that suggests a reasonable prospect of maintaining regular and efficient service. This may include providing a fitness to work report from their GP.
The appointed person must provide their own transport during employment and furnish annual indemnity from insurers in favor of the employer. Approved essential travel expenses will be reimbursed.
