Our client, a global operation, is seeking a Production Manager to join their cutting-edge manufacturing operation in Co. Longford. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role in driving production efficiency.
The Production Manager will oversee all operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production standards. They will establish clear performance standards, monitor and measure results, analyse workflow processes, and proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This is a permanent position working Mon-Fri.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee all operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production standards.
Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are consistently met.
Manage labour resources, reviewing and approving workforce planning and performance.
Establish and track key production metrics to monitor plant performance.
Lead, support, and manage direct reports, ensuring clear communication of responsibilities.
Conduct and approve performance evaluations, fostering employee development.
Investigate accidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Oversee preventive maintenance compliance through their facilities system.
Monitor and verify inventory accuracy for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Uphold company policies to ensure fair and consistent employee management.
Maintain compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and GMP standards.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives.
Manage production performance, including manpower planning and resource allocation.
Analyse production data (e.g., downtime, waste, and non-conformances) to implement solutions.
Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
What are we looking for?
BSc in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred. A third-level qualification is desirable, but relevant experience and a passion for the role are highly valued.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a plastics, medical device, or high volume manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of IQMS is a plus.
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
