Our client, a well-known Irish but global environmental company is currently seeking to recruit a Planning Program Manager for their site based in Co. Kildare.

This is permanent position, working week Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm.

The Planning Program Manager will report to the Planning Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, planning, and environmental aspects of renewable energy development projects.

  • Develop strategies for planning, consenting, and compliance by staying updated on legislative changes, policy decisions, and development plans.

  • Work with stakeholders and the Advocacy Manager to develop a strategy for managing communications regarding proposed development sites.

  • Lead the implementation of engagement plans across projects, ensuring effective interaction with key stakeholders.

  • Prepare and manage the budget for planning projects approved by the Renewable Energy Development Management Team.

  • Contribute to evaluating third-party mergers and acquisitions being considered by the business unit.

  • Adhere to all health and safety measures implanted by the company.

  • Actively engage performance management to ensure both your own and the team's objectives are achieved effectively.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental engineering, or equivalent.

  • A Post Graduate qualification in a relevant field such as environmental science, engineering, or planning law would be advantageous.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience.

  • Extensive experience in leading projects through consenting processes, focusing on renewables, power generation, and related infrastructure.

  • Technical expertise in infrastructure design, planning, environmental assessment, or licensing.

  • Thorough knowledge of legislation and policies in these domains.

  • Experience in managing a team of technical professionals.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues and management.
