Our client who are based in Co. Offaly and have a long-established entity in the Midlands region are seeking an Operation Controller to join their team.

The is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 5:30pm.

The operation controller will report to the RES Asset Manager.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee safe, efficient, and compliant operations of energy assets, including wind, solar, and battery systems.

• Manage equipment control transfer under wind turbine safety rules.

• Remotely respond to alarms to maximize energy production and minimize downtime.

• Continuously monitor SCADA and weather systems to ensure safe operations.

• Produce daily, monthly, and annual reports for each asset.

• Maintain up-to-date safety documentation.

• Support the maintenance team through communication, involvement, and collaboration.

• Lead and promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all employees and contractors adhere to safety systems.

• Actively participate in the performance management process to achieve goals.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, science, or an IT-related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable position.

• Proficient in Microsoft office applications.

• Knowledge of power generation or heavy plant operations.

• Experience with safe work systems.
