Our client, a reputable and established food production company based in Co. Offaly are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their Group . You will have the opportunity to contribute to and collaborate within a large, dynamic finance department, sharing expertise, skills , knowledge and continuous improvement.

The Financial Accountant will manage the financial oversight of one of their agricultural operations, preparing detailed monthly accounts and presenting insightful reports to the board. This job will report into the Finance Manager.

This is a permanent role.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial and operational KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis.

• Develop proposals for capital investments.

• Manage financial tasks and processes.

• Enhance operational performance by maintaining consistent communication with employees.

• Communicate and present monthly updates to the board of directors.

• Prepare the annual budget.

• Promote continuous improvement and encouraging employee engagement.

What are we looking for?

• Possess a recognised accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, and CIMA with a minimum of 2-3 years’ post qualified accounting experience ideally within industry.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and SAP is advantageous.

• Exhibit strong organisational and time management abilities.

• Have outstanding communication skills when communicating with colleagues and the board.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.

• Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
