What you need to know
Our client, a highly successful and well-established global organisation are currently seeking a Finance Manager for their facility in Waterford.

Your new job
In this position, you will report to the European Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing a finance team, driving financial reporting and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations for multiple legal entities. You will also lead audits, manage the month-end close, and be involved in a system upgrade.

This is a contract role (18 months) with a strong salary and excellent benefits package. The role offers a hybrid working model.

Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements and other financial statements and reports for various legal entities.
  • Lead and guide the finance team.
  • Lead audits across 3 EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Review the accounts, identify issues and resolve.
  • Prepare the management report for review with the European Financial Controller.
  • Liaise with all legal entities and ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Liaise with external auditors on audits and statutory reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful day to day finance operations including employee expenses, cash management and payroll.
  • Assist in leading team members through system testing and implementation of a system upgrade.
  • Use Lean to drive process improvements.
What are we looking for?
  • Qualified Accountant with 5 years’ p.q.e.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience leading audits.
  • Strong background in GL Accounting and European VAT.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and admin skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, eager to learn and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP.
