Matrix Recruitment is recruiting an Engineering Manager in Offaly for an established and reputable employer.

The Engineering Manager is a key position in the company, where they will be the onsite expert for their highly automated technology systems. The ideal candidate will be the expert for development, project management, and engineering projects. This is a hands on role, working on installation projects, improvement projects, along with sourcing, and installing spare parts.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee development, project management, and contractor supervision for engineering projects.

  • Provide technical guidance and support for facility maintenance and operations.

  • Work with accelerator technologies and automated warehousing systems.

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to meet machine requirements.

  • Manage project teams, including documentation and budgets.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

  • Support safety, quality, innovation, sustainability, and lean initiatives.

  • Participate in process deviation investigations and corrective actions.

  • Maximize plant uptime and review plant downtime for improvements.

  • Collaborate and work alongside engineering managers across other European sites on various projects.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.

  • 5+ years of related engineering experience, ideally within the automotive, medical device or pharmaceutical sector.

  • Project Management experience is essential.

  • Proficiency with tools like Excel, Visio/AutoCAD/EPLAN, Altium/OrCAD, SPICE.

  • Ability to read schematics/drawings a distinct advantage.

  • Experience with accelerator and high voltage DC power systems is a plus.

  • Familiarity with LEAN or Continuous Improvement methodology is a plus.

  • Experience in a highly regulated company is a plus.
