What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Compliance Analyst for our client, in the finance industry, based in Meath.

As the Compliance Analyst, you will report into the Compliance officer and work closely with them to provide essential information and reports as required.
This role will suit you if you have experience in compliance within financial services and enjoy working with data to identify meaningful insights.

This is a permanent position that is based fully in office. The working hours will be Monday to Friday from 9.00-5.30pm.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage compliance and data protection related queries in a timely basis.

  • Ensure that action items in relation to compliance reviews are completed on time and fully documented on the relevant systems.

  • Support the AML function in the performance of ongoing monitoring on members’ transactions including checks against financial sanctions listings.

  • Support the Compliance Officer in the preparation of monthly board/committee reporting on Compliance and data protection activities.

  • Keep up to date on compliance and GDPR regulations and what is happening in the wider external environment.

  • In conjunction with the Compliance Officer, respond on a timely basis to requests from the Central Bank, Data Protection Commission, and other external bodies.

  • Assist the Compliance Officer to implement future legislation and regulatory developments in the jurisdiction.

  • Participate in existing and new projects as part of the continuous development, expansion, and evolution of the business.

  • Support the organisation’s operational resilience strategy through receipt of and delivery of cross-training.

  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

  • Responsible for data analysis and reporting duties relevant to the department.

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure that Compliance and data protection requirements are understood and embedded within the organisation consistently.


What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in similar role (compliance, data protection, and/or data analytics).

  • Knowledge of compliance and data protection regulation and legislation within the financial services sector in Ireland is an advantage preferred.

  • Degree qualification in Business or a discipline relevant to the role or studying towards a qualification is preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise work, meet strict deadlines, and manage time efficiently.

  • Ability to examine potential issues and challenges in-depth and summarise succinctly.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Have strong investigative skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • High level of proficiency in MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills.

  • Ability to analyse data and to translate into meaningful insights.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and embrace new skills and practices, alongside the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
