One of our key clients, an established wholesaler company in Co. Roscommon is seeking to recruit an Accounting Technician to join their team. This is a new role and a great opportunity to develop your career.

The Accounting Technician will report to the Financial Accountant and will be working across the group companies.

This is a permanent position working Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm with Hybrid working.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and invoice processing.

• Monitor debtor accounts and support collections with the sales team.

• Log purchase invoices, reconcile creditors' ledgers, and balance bank records.

• Maintain accurate records for audits, compliance, and reporting.

• Prepare monthly financial reports and ad-hoc analysis.

• Assist in financial forecasting and reporting.

• Support tax compliance and liaise with auditors.

• Utilise accounting systems for efficient data entry and reporting.

• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Collaborate with teams to align financial processes with business goals.

What are we looking for?

• Accounting Technician qualification or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA).

• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software (Intact, Sage), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
