Your New Job
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including departmental reporting and variance analysis.
- Ensure all relevant tax and revenue returns (e.g., VAT, RCT, PAYE, P30) are submitted on time.
- Proficiency in managing creditor and debtor accounts
- Post period-end journals, manage intercompany transactions, and oversee sales reporting.
- Strong understanding of corporation tax compliance and regulations
- Prepare a 3-month cash flow forecast with relevant commentary.
- Support in cost control, managing overheads, and project invoicing.
- Manage the credit control function to ensure timely collections of outstanding balances.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and support related reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end audit documentation and liaise with auditors.
- Provide ad-hoc accounting support as required by the business.
- A fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA) would be advantageous.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a small to medium-sized company.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience in VAT and tax returns.
- Debtor and creditor experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to team objectives.
