Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner for our client based in County Kildare who specialises within the Food Manufacturing Industry. This company has established a reputable name within the food industry and it’s a leading, innovative business supplying food brands across more than 50 international markets.The Supply Chain Planner will contribute to the company's ongoing success and ability to meet global market demands.
The Supply Chain Planner will be primarily responsible for supporting the planning functions by generating, monitoring, and driving achievable production plans and schedules based on the target run rates and yields for each product and line. Taking these responsibilities into consideration the overall desired outcome is to ensure the customer orders are met by maintaining efficient planning and scheduling.
This is a permanent position, Monday – Friday role.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Ensure production plans are designed to maximise efficiencies by considering demand, capacity, and resources, while supporting the development, maintenance & execution of the production plan.
Co-ordinate an effective forecasting and demand planning process and gathering data from multiple sources for demand planning analytics.
Ensure people, materials and machines are available to achieve the target plan by communicating with any necessary stakeholders.
Drive operational efficiencies and identify continuous improvement opportunities, while supporting other functions within the supply chain e.g. scheduling, ordering, materials stock management.
Liaise with team members, senior managers, supervisors and general operators on all production related queries.
Coordinate with the Customer Interface team to ensure clear communication regarding capacity, lead times, and any issues that could impact customer supply.
What are we looking for?
Relevant qualification in Supply Chain/Planning is preferred.
2+ years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
Good knowledge of manufacturing specifications and understanding of production capabilities and capacities.
Candidate must be flexible to the needs of the business and can work in a dynamic environment.
