Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector for our client based in County Longford who specialises in manufacturing packaging and components for polymer/plastics industry. Our client is a leading supplier for consumer goods and is currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation. With new opportunities on the horizon and significant advancement in projects and capabilities they are now looking to expand their team.

The Quality Inspector main responsibility is to ensure all products are within quality specifications and monitored through the manufacturing stages in adherence to compliance to ISO 13485 and ISO 14001.

This is a permanent position, on 4 cycle shifts – days and night shifts.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections to ensure product compliance with specifications and ensure incoming material inspections are completed.

  • Collaborate with production operators on all machines and processes to ensure quality requirements are understood and the quality program is effectively implemented.

  • Ensure control of non-conforming products in accordance with SOP and support customer complaint investigations.

  • Input data into the SPC Systems and oversee and enhance inspection techniques, metrology, systems, and procedures.

  • Assist the organization in achieving KPI targets and managing the change process.

 

What are we looking for?

  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing is essential.

  • Completed education at Leaving Certificate level is essential.

  • Proficient in using SPC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications.

  • Experience in using measurement instruments.

  • Desired attributes: Attention to detail, act on own initiative, focused, organisational skills, effective communication, problem solving and the ability to adapt.
