Our client a leading manufacturing company are seeking a Production Manager to join their team in Co. Westmeath. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role in driving production efficiency.

The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing, leading the team to ensure efficient processes and top-quality products. This role demands strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving to meet production targets while enhancing cost efficiency.

This is a permanent position.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet delivery timelines and company objectives, coordinating with Operations, Design, Sales, and Logistics teams.

  • Supervise, train, and manage production staff, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to health and safety standards.

  • Oversee the manufacturing process to maintain the company's high-quality standards across all products.

  • Continuously assess and recommend improvements for production processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.

  • Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment.

  • Manage resources effectively to balance workload and optimise production capacity.

  • Track and report on key performance metrics, providing insights to support operational goals.

 

What are we looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in production management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and a track record of driving process improvements.

  • Knowledgeable in health and safety practices relevant to manufacturing.

  • Effective leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide production staff.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
