Our client, a global chemical company in Co. Westmeath, is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to join their organisation.

This is a permanent role, working hours Monday – Friday from 9am-5pm.

The process engineer will report to the Manufacturing Manager.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creating and implementing new or updated production processes for biopolymer products.

• Designing efficient manufacturing equipment layouts.

• Conducting production tests to control variables and solve problems.

• Ensuring compliance with regulations and scientific standards.

• Learning manufacturing chemistry to identify and reduce variability in processing, using problem-solving and statistical techniques like Six Sigma.

• Designing and conducting lab experiments for R&D and new product concepts.

• Troubleshooting production issues and supporting technical, production, marketing, and sales teams.

• Managing customer technical service requests and conducting applications research for biopolymer products in medical devices.

What you need to know?

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.

• Master's degree in chemical, polymer, or biomedical engineering.

• Expertise in polymer processing.

• Understanding of biodegradable polymers in medical applications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
