Our Longford based client who are a key plastics manufacturing company catering for the medical devices industry are seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Technician to join there expanding team.

This position will be key in the efficient running of manufacturing machinery and the facilities.

Your new job

Key Duties & Requirements:

• Carry out rebuilds on the machines and infrastructure.

• Involved in projects focussing on areas such as machinery efficiency and breakdown reduction.

• Troubleshoot/repair equipment and machinery on the facility of the company.

• Follow Preventative Maintenance schedule.

• Keep maintenance reports and make records for all the repair work conducted on the machinery.

• Carefully maintain inventory for the tools and place orders for new ones when they are required.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a Leve6/trade qualification

• Experience carrying out maintenance in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of Maximo – Asset Management system or equivalent would be an advantage.
