What you need to know

Our client, in the manufacturing industry are looking for a Machine Setter to join their team based in Co. Offaly.

The machine setter ensures that the machines produce high-quality products, operate efficiently at full capacity, and receive proper maintenance, and will be reporting to the Plant Production Manager.

This is a permanent position, working alternating shift patterns.

 

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the injection moulding production line to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Conduct thorough cleaning of moulds, machines, robots, and ancillary equipment to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and operational integrity.

  • Produce finished goods that meet SOPs and customer requirements, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and following any special instructions outlined in orders.

  • Carry out quality checks and gather necessary quality data to uphold product standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Handle raw materials and finished goods with care, ensuring proper storage and organization throughout the production process.

  • Maintain a tidy and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.

  • Take on additional production-related tasks as needed to support team goals and operational success.

What are we looking for?

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar environment, with a proven track record and an interest in joining a growing team with opportunities for further training and development.

  • Injection moulding experience.

  • Relevant experience in manufacturing is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with machine operations and team-based production methods.

  • Knowledge of or interest in GMP, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma is beneficial.
