As the Long-Term Scheduler, you will take a lead role in production scheduling, ensuring optimal planning from long-term strategy to shift-level operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Section for Planning & Scheduling, you will manage a team responsible for long-term and medium-term planning, resource optimisation, and productivity analysis. Lead Scheduler Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of scheduling professionals.
- Develop and optimise long-term, budget, and forecast schedules for production operations.
- Conduct resource calculations and reporting to ensure accurate planning.
- Provide data-driven insights for productivity analysis and process optimisation.
- Support the development of the Management Operating System and unit cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards while promoting the company’s core values.
- Degree in Engineering, Civil, Industrial, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing or heavy industry environment, including at least 2 years in production and operational planning.
- Experience in leading a team.
- Strong project management skills and experience with planning and scheduling software (Deswik preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- Full, valid driver’s licence required.
