Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Food Safety/Quality Manager for our Client, based in the Carlow Area.

This is a Full Time Role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Implementation, and Management of Food Safety Management Systems in accordance with current legislation, and to prescribed standards.

• Lead internal HACCP team and management of standards through internal auditing programme.

• Co-ordination with Regulatory Authorities (DAFM, FSAI) / Legal compliance, including regulatory, 3rd party and customer audits and inspections (BRC, Bord Bia, LEAF)

• Management of supplier and product approval protocol.

• Ensure alignment of Management Team with FS&Q objectives.

• Conduct Audits of FSMS compliance and resolve issues with the team.

• Ensure Food Safety training requirements are up to date. Managing the review of food safety training materials to ensure training programmes meet standard requirements.

• Satisfactory resolution of FSQ operational issues and Consumer Complaints.

• Ensuring site hygiene, and pest control standards are maintained.

What are we looking for?

• Science/ Food Science Qualification Essential.

• Min 3 years Technical Quality management experience.

• HACCP/Food Safety Management systems knowledge.

• Experience in implementing and managing QMS.

• Flexibility, quick learner, problem solver, good communication and good organisational skills.

• Full Driver’s License and access to own car is required.

• Approved to work in the EU.
