Our Client is a leading Irish Agribusiness looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join their team in Kilkenny.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in the Agri and retail industries who have a strong passion for customer service. The role will also cover various aspects of the business.

Your New Job
Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Providing day-to-day customer service, assisting existing clients, and developing new business opportunities.

• Conducting telesales to existing customers to grow the business.

• Managing and reconciling stock regularly, ensuring all items are current and accurately counted.

• Offering expert advice and support to customers on a wide range of products.

• Restocking display areas regularly to ensure products are always available.

• Maintaining high standards of store presentation and cleanliness, including the shop floor and storage areas.

• Adhering to policies and procedures to ensure the security of cash and merchandise.

• Handling product coding, pricing, and updating prices for goods available for sale.

What We Are Looking For:

• A Level 7 degree or higher in Agriculture or a related field is an advantage.

• 1-2 years of previous counter sales experience is an advantage.

• A keen interest in the agricultural industry, particularly animal and health nutrition.

• Ability to collaborate with sales representatives and team members to ensure high-quality service.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A strong customer-focused attitude.

• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.

• A valid forklift license is a plus but not essential.
