We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for our client, a global Medical Devices company based in Dublin West.

This is a 12-month contract position.


Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for key financial processes within the organisation
  • Emphasis will be on the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to Head office
  • Assist and lead more junior members of staff as required
  • Managing key aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet for various entities
  • Due to the structure of the organisation you have total responsibility for other smaller entities
  • Ensuring SOX controls are maintained over these areas
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations are completed
  • Preparation and reporting of Monthly results to US Head office
  • Preparation of monthly reports for local management
  • Liaising with local SSC team on relevant issues
  • As a senior member of staff, you will also liaise with Corporate Head office, presenting and explaining results
  • Maintain initiative and drive to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well within a small team are essential.
  • Liaise with various key stakeholders
  • Seek to develop solutions and looks for opportunities to indentify new ways of working, encouraging colleagues to follow suit


Skills /Experience

  • Qualified accountant with 2 years PQE in a multinational pharmaceutical, manufacturing or medical devices company or else big 4 qualified accountant with experience auditing the aforementioned industries
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well within a small team are essential.
  • Experience in a leadership position
