What you need to know

You will work as a Payroll Officer for our client, a highly successful and well-established food manufacturing company in North Tipperary.

As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for weekly payroll processing in a timely and accurate manner.  You will enter payroll information into central system for processing. You will report to the Group Financial Accountant.

This is a 12month contract with a view to going permanent.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Responsible for dealing with tax queries.
  • Receives and coordinates requests for payroll and employee leave.
  • Provide month end reports to the Finance team
  • Various ad-hoc administrative duties
  • Adheres to payroll policies and procedures


What are we looking for?

  • IPASS or Accounting Technician qualification.
  • 5+ years’ work experience in high volume payroll processing.
  • Experience using SAP or Oracle.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Have the capability to deal with and solve problems and issues in the correct manner.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong IT skills.
