What you need to know

You will work as a Créche Manager for our client, a highly successful and well-established Créche in Co. Offaly.

As the Créche Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Créche.  You will maintain a high standard of excellence for both staff and children.

This is a permanent position.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Day to day responsibility for children and staff
  • Ensure high standards of care at the centre
  • Ensure a good standard of hygiene
  • Attend meetings and undertake training as required
  • Revise policies and procedures as required
  • Adhere to Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns
  • Prepare long term, medium term and short-term plans
  • Effectively market and promote the group
  • Manage a budget and maintain accounts
  • Maintain all records as required by Pobal and the HSE
  • Represent the service during HSE and Pobal Inspections
  • Ensure group is adequately insured and all safety equipment i.e. maintained
  • and regularly serviced.
  • To develop ongoing positive relationships with parents
  • To co-ordinate recruitment, induction, appraisal and training requirements for
  • staff
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, any breach of confidentiality about children or
  • their families will constitute gross misconduct
  • Perform any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time

What are we looking for?

  • FETAC Level 6 in Childcare.
  • At least 3-4 years’ work experience in a management position.
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children
  • Good Communication and Relating Skills with children, staff and parents
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Complete Garda Vetting.
