What you need to know

You will work as an Assistant Accountant for our client a highly successful international company based in the South- East. This is a Contract Role (8-9 months) where you will be able to work from home after an induction period.

Your new job:

This will be a varied role that could include you assisting in all areas of the finance department and will enhance your overall knowledge of financial accounting.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial accounts.
  • Verify the accuracy of journals posted and work closely with local affiliates.
  • Prepare monthly reporting pack to include all schedules required.
  • Ensure Tax returns are completed and returned on time and ensure they are compliant.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Ensure all supporting schedules and workings are ready for the external audit.

What are we looking for?

  • Part qualified Accountant at minimum.
  • 3 years relevance experience in audit/ accounting required.
  • Strong working knowledge of excel.
  • Hands on, can do, will do, go to person.
  • Eager to learn about the finance function.
