Onto day 4 of the Races and it’s Ladies Day. We’re taking inspiration from all the best dressed to give you some of the top tips on what to wear to your job interview. First impressions count for a lot in an interview and it is essential to get the dress code right.

Dress to Impress at your Job Interview

What to Wear

  • Dress smart – For men this can mean a suit, tie and dress shoes, and for ladies, a business suit or smart dress. Bear in mind what you wear should be reflective of the type of role you’re going for, but don’t be afraid to stand out with a little creativity.
  • Cleanliness is next to godliness – Creased or stained clothing is the quickest way to be dismissed as a job candidate. Make sure your appearance is clean, fresh, and well kept.
  • Fingernails – Dirty fingernails are a small detail that can cost you an interview so keep them clean and clipped – this includes chipped nail varnish too.
  • Fed and well rested – Make sure you have got enough sleep and are ready to go before the interview. Looking or feeling sleepy, hungry, hungover, or otherwise not on top-form can make all the difference.
