Fill Our Interview Room with Christmas Shoeboxes for the Homeless – Citywest, Dublin.
As the number of people sleeping rough in Dublin reaches a record high, our Dublin team wanted to make some small difference in the lives of those homeless in the run-up to Christmas. They were so inspired by ICHH’s initiative last year to “fill-a-tram” with Christmas shoeboxes for the homeless in Dublin City Centre, that this year, they have taken on the challenge of filling their interview room in Citywest Business Park and they want you to help!
If you would like to become part of this challenge, please wrap a shoebox in Christmas paper, wrapping the lid and box separately as the contents will have to be checked for safety before being distributed, and mark it male or female. If your shoebox is for a child, then please mark the intended age group. For example, Boy Age 5-8.
What should you include:
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Shower gel
- Roll-on deodorant
- Sanitary towels
- Wet wipes
- Hat, scarf and gloves
- Chocolate / sweets / biscuits / crisps
- A note or Christmas card for the intended recipient is always a nice touch
- Anything else that you feel may be suitable
What should you avoid:
- Hand sanitizer
If you could then drop your shoebox to our offices at Unit C1 Magna Business Park, Citywest, Dublin 24 on or before Tuesday, December 19th as we attempt to fill our interview room for the ICHH.
If you have a number of boxes that you need us to collect, please contact the office at email@example.com or 01 4690901.
Help us fill our interview room and more importantly, help the homeless!
