Matrix Recruitment Group were proud to sponsor the event organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development on the highly topical New General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). It took place on 9th November in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone.

Matrix Recruitment Group recently hosted a very successful breakfast event with the Midlands CIPD Committee on “The New Data Protection Regulations”.

The GDPR countdown is on! We are all trying to prepare as best we can. Matrix has started to take action to assure compliance based on the questions:

Are you still confused on GDPR?

Is your company ready for these regulations?

Are you aware of the consequences for not complying?

Following a networking opportunity for attendees, there was an introduction from Alison Sheridan, Chairperson of the CIPD Midlands Committee and Breda Dooley, Regional Recruitment Manager at Matrix Recruitment Group in Athlone. Breda discussed the impact the New Data Protection Regulations will have on the recruitment industry and the processes Matrix Recruitment are putting in place at the moment in preparation for May 25th, 2018.

The key speaker, Eunice Delaney, Assistant Commissioner with the Office of the Data Commissioner, then explained the current Data Protection Regulations and the key changes and obligations on organisations under GDPR coming into place on May 25th 2018.

We have wrote a series of GDPR blogs to try and help you understand the importance of these new laws and how to tackle them!
