What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager for our client, a manufacturing site based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare that operates 24/7.
This is permanent, full-time role.
This role involves strong leadership to manage two busy warehouse operations and a team of 12. The warehouse manager role is part of the wider Supply Chain team on site. The role combines innovative leadership with people management, daily problem solving and strategic thinking to optimise the warehouse/supply chain and outbound logistics function.


Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for Warehouse organisation, leading daily direction setting of the warehouse and shipping processes, team engagement, staffing and communications.

  • Own the safety program for the warehouse. Drive the safety intervention plans to quick resolution both urgent and systemic, develop and deliver sustainable actions for High Risk Task Assessment.

  • Leading material inbound processes on site.

  • Warehouse goods receipt and replenishment processes work effectively.

  • Supporting production execution processes and stock checks, responsible for the department having a robust system for inventory accuracy.

  • Supporting outbound logistics team to load trucks on time on time and delivery to customers on time and in full.

  • Ownership of plant transport and warehouse spend including plan for future material handling equipment, external warehouse, pallet supply and general warehouse expense.

  • Responsible for the department having a robust process for internal controls in the warehouse.

  • Continuous improvement on warehouse safety, quality, and controls program.

  • Continuous improvement on material inventory, reviewing opportunities to optimise the storage on site and in all external warehouse.

  • Work with suppliers to optimise delivery format.


What are we looking for?

  • Third level qualification desirable.

  • Experience leading a warehouse operation and experience managing a team. A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Self-driven and results orientated with a positive outlook and high standards for safety and quality.

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage a department organisation consisting of both day and shift individuals.

  • Has strong system skills and comfortable managing and analysing data. Being highly proficient in SAP and Microsoft excel is a must.

  • Has strong technical and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability successfully implement change and drive long term innovation and cost saving improvements.

  • Has excellent communication skills both to organisation and to leadership.

  • Experience within supply chain, logistics and local customs disciplines would be a distinct advantage .

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders internal and external to the organisation.
