This is a full-time Permeant role.

Your New Job:
Your new job involves supporting the Person in Charge (PIC) with overseeing the Community's compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, as well as those arising under service agreements with the HSE and other funding or oversight bodies. A key aspect of the role is guiding, monitoring, and leading the community staff team. You'll be responsible for motivating and inspiring positive communication within the team, enabling them to work together towards achieving goals as directed by the PIC.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of frontline residential staff teams as directed by the Person in Charge.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, oversight, and supervision to staff within the community.
  • Actively support the development of an evidence-based culture and ensure service information and action plans are updated.
  • Promote high-quality person-centered supports, ensuring individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Uphold and respect the human, legal, and constitutional rights of individuals supported.
  • Encourage the development of self-advocacy skills and involvement in advocacy.
  • Update CMSN assessments based on their specific needs and goals.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of Support Plans based on CMSN's needs and preferences.
  • Ensure clear communication and evaluation of Support Plans, making modifications as required.
  • Provide positive leadership and support to stakeholders.
  • Direct oversight, supervision, and monitoring of staff performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports, timesheets, and financial statements.
  • Implement organizational processes and monitor practice to ensure policy adherence.
  • Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of frontline staff.
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching, mentoring, and supervision to staff.
  • Coordinate staff duties and activities efficiently.
  • Assist in managing local budgets and administrative records.
  • Chair/attend meetings and promote good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Chair/attend house meetings and prepare for Community Management meetings.
  • Develop and promote good relationships with CMSN's families.
  • Maintain respectful communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate and implement quality improvement actions.
  • Monitor health, safety, and welfare of staff and CMSN's, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care or in a relevant professional discipline.
  • At least 2 years of management experience at a similar level of responsibility.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the health/social care or voluntary sector.
  • Detailed understanding of developments at national and sectoral levels in relation to quality and safety within disability services.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive & Teams.
  • A full driver's license is an essential requirement.
