What you need to know
We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for our client, in the pharmaceutical industry, based in Dublin Southwest.

In this role, you will beresponsible for managing a team and overall supply chain activities for a designated area to ensure that all supply and demand metrics are met in an efficient manner.

This position will manage a team of 2 and relationship-building skills will be crucial for building and maintaining key relationships with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Manager on the day-to-day operations and projects impacting the department.

This is a permanent position that offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategic and daily supply chain activities to ensure the efficient running of the department.

  • Collaborate with internal and third-party distributors, as well as internal and external suppliers, to address daily supply chain and logistics challenges, including product availability, forecast adjustments, supplier performance, and customer service.

  • Meet SIFOT metrics by ensuring the delivery of compliant and timely delivery of products.

  • Organize and conduct regular cross-functional demand and supply review meetings, ensuring that meeting minutes and action items for follow-up are documented and actioned. Ensure that any issues or delays that may impact supply are communicated and resolved.

  • Day-to-day management of 2 supply chain team members.

  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and prompt issue resolution.

  • Responsible for monitoring and enhancing KPIs for your designated portfolio of customers and suppliers.

  • Consistently ensure a thorough understanding of the customer and supplier contract terms, including any updates or changes.

  • Cultivate productive relationships with various stakeholders, including manufacturing, packaging suppliers, regulatory affairs, QA, and finance.

  • Participate in process improvement identification and implementation projects. Identify issues and conduct root cause analyses to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in the supply chain processes.

  • Participate in change control initiatives to support new launches.

  • Adhere to internal SOPs, contractual obligations, relevant legislation, and company policies, including SOX compliance.

  • Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience with a strong understanding of the full end-to-end supply chain process in a global manufacturing company.

  • 3+ years of people management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience. APICS certified an advantage.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical product in a cGMP environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong relationship management, communication and influencing skills essential.

  • Strong issue resolution skills and experience.

  • Previous experience and ability to participate in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working of process improvement projects within a similar industry.

  • Ability to interpret the data, understand the impact, and prioritize based on the impact.

  • Lean thinking and process thinking.

  • Ability to write SOPs and interact with Quality/Regulatory department.

  • Experience working with SAP system and Microsoft Excel.
